Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Payroll Officer to join our operation in Burnie.
This role provides seamless customer support, payroll, and people transactional, administrative and support services to our employees.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Assist with performing end-to-end payroll for 600+ employees
- Manage payroll tax and superannuation payments
- Ensure timely and accurate assessment and processing of information relating to payroll and employment of staff using the Payroll and HRMS System
- Assist with associated payroll and legislative reporting
- Perform general HR administration and support duties, including responding to personnel and payroll enquiries in a timely manner
- Contribute to long-term continuous improvement measures
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and legislation
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Prior payroll and human resources administration experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel
- High-level organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines

Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

Burnie Office is the Registered Head Office for the Grange organisation. Based in the Burnie central business district it is home to various business functions including Finance, IT, HR, and Environment.
