Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Sales and Commercial Analyst to join our operation in Burnie.
In this role, you will assist with coordinating and analysing the sale of all iron ore products for the company. This will include analysing iron ore market price index data, freight indices and cost data, and preparation sales and shipping documentation.

Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Understanding the key drivers influencing the fluctuation of iron ore prices and updating pricing models
- Assisting with strategic market analysis to assist with the development of sales and freight strategies
- Assisting with freight tendering to charter vessels to transport iron ore products to customers, including preparing and analysing tender documents
- Assisting with vessel nomination and approvals, including tracking vessel status, administering Charter Party agreements and coordinating laytime calculations
- Assisting with shipping administration, including arranging laycan forms and preparing shipping documentation
- Completing month-end tasks, including processing transactions and journals, and month end board reports
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Tertiary qualification in business, economics, accounting, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1-year experience in a financial environment
- Excellent document management skills, attention to detail and an analytical mindset
- Strong computer skills, specifically using Word, Excel
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to establish and maintain effective communication channels
- Effective organisation, time management and interpersonal skills
