Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Project Engineer to join our operation in Port Latta.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of plant-based projects at our Port Latta Operations.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Utilise your project management, engineering skills, and experience to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and undertaken in accordance with Grange's standards and all relevant Australian standards.
- Working with technical experts, such as process engineers and refractory experts, to develop technical plant solutions into executable projects.
- Where required, assist operations teams with technical support to solve challenging operational problems.
- Running change management and risk assessments as required.
- Engaging and communicating with stakeholders during the execution of work.
- Monitoring of and reporting on schedule-, quality- and cost performance
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Excellent Project Management skills, including Risk and Change Management experience
- Demonstrable experience with Project Management Software (MS Project) and Design drawing software (AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Project execution track record with work experience in a brownfield manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills and the demonstrated ability to support a multidisciplinary team to achieve planned outcomes
- Experience managing the commercial components of projects from initiation to completion
- Strong safety orientation
Who we are
We're Grange Resources, Australia's oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise. Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.
Port Latta
The Port Latta pellet plant and ship loading facility, located 70kms north-west of Burnie, is wholly owned and operated by Grange Resources. It produces over 2.2 million tonnes of premium quality iron ore product annually.
The Port Latta worksite is only an hours drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour’s flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
