Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Human Resources Superintendent to join our operation in Burnie.
In this role, you will lead the HR department and oversee all aspects of human resources management within the organisation.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the leadership team to develop HR strategies that support our vision and create a great workplace environment.
Roster: 5 days on 2 days off
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Manage the development, implementation and ongoing review of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with relevant legislation
- Align HR strategies with Grange's objectives, working closely with the senior management team
- Provide advice and guidance to Managers and supervisors on HR matters, including conflict resolution, employment issues, performance management
- Assist with Enterprise Agreement negotiations and the resolution of industrial relations issues
- Develop and implement initiatives which promote and improve workplace culture and employee wellness
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, payroll processing and benefits enrolment
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources with an extensive understanding of the employee life cycle
- Minimum of 5 years experience in HR management role in a mining, heavy-manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead and coach the team effectively
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Burnie Office is the Registered Head Office for the Grange organisation. Based in the Burnie central business district it is home to various business functions including Finance, IT, HR, and Environment.
