Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Human Resources Manager to join our operation in Burnie.
As the Human Resources Manager, you will lead our HR function and be responsible for executing our people strategy, aligning it with organisational goals, fostering a great workplace environment, driving employee engagement, and supporting the team in achieving organisational objectives.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Managing the development, implementation and ongoing review of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with relevant legislation
- Working closely with the Management Team to develop and implement HR strategies that support Grange's objectives
- Providing advice and guidance to Managers and Supervisors on HR matters, including conflict resolution, employment issues, performance management
- Leading our Enterprise Agreement negotiations and the resolution of industrial relations issues
- Developing and implementing initiatives which promote and improve workplace culture and employee wellness
- Overseeing the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Administering employee compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, payroll processing and benefits enrolment
- Collaborating with the Management Team to drive a culture of continuous improvement and high-performance
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources with an extensive understanding of the employee life cycle
- Minimum of 10 years experience in an HR management role in a mining, heavy-manufacturing environment
- Proven capability in leading the implementation of various people and culture initiatives, encompassing employee and industrial relations, leadership and engagement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite

Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.
Burnie
Burnie Office is the Registered Head Office for the Grange organisation. Based in the Burnie central business district it is home to various business functions including Finance, IT, HR, and Environment.
