Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Graduate Mining Engineer to join our operation in Savage River.

Roster: The role works predominantly a day shift roster of 8 days on 6 days off whilst working directly a as a part of the Mine Planning Team as well as 4/4 whilst gaining Mine Operations exposure and 7/7 whilst gaining Drill & Blast exposure.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Assisting operational and other planning team personnel with implementation and compliance to plan, gathering and analysing data for all short-term planning activities and operational activities including daily pit visits and participation in key meetings.
- Liaising with technical, operational and maintenance staff to guide allocation of resources to achieve the mine plan
- Supporting in the development of the rolling weekly plan.
- Assisting in continuous improvement and process development projects.
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Bachelor qualifications in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline
- Exposure to an Open Pit Mining environment would be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and reporting skills
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Exposure to mine design software would be an advantage
- Full Current manual driver’s licence

We're Grange Resources, Australia's oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise. Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.
Savage River
The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline to Grange's pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.
The Savage River worksite is only an hour and half drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour’s flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
