Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Maintenance Planner to join our operation in Port Latta.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role will play a crucial role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation and maintenance of our pellet processing plant.
Roster: 5 days on 2 days off with the option of being negotiated to 4 days on 3 days off for suitable candidates.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Provide maintenance planning support to all aspects of our Pellet Plant Operations and Maintenance
- Collaborate with the maintenance to prioritise maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruptions to the operations
- Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance systems and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are strictly controlled and maximised
- Ensure document maintenance procedures are aligned with Grange's Safety and Environment Management System
- Manage project and cost control by managing work to budgets and ensuring efficient use of resources
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Trade Certification in Mechanical Trades (Boilermaker, Electrician, or Fitter/ Machinist)
- Maintenance Planning or Supervisor experience
- Experiences in computerised maintenance management systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and the demonstrated ability to support a multidisciplinary team to achieve planned outcomes
- Strong computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
- Knowledge of Lean Management principles
- Understanding of continuous improvement process and the plan – do – check – act cycle
- Previous experience in the mining industry (advantageous)
- Leadership and Management (Cert IV), training and assessment qualifications will be beneficial

Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.
Port Latta
The Port Latta pellet plant and ship loading facility, located 70kms north-west of Burnie, is wholly owned and operated by Grange Resources. It produces over 2.2 million tonnes of premium quality iron ore product annually.
The Port Latta worksite is only an hours drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour’s flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
