Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Management Accountant to join our operation in Savage River.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Grange Resources (Tasmania) Pty Ltd as a Management Accountant. In this full-time role, you will be based in our Burnie office located in Tasmania. As the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance team, providing strategic financial insights and supporting the company's ongoing business objectives.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports, budgets and forecast
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support decision-making
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial information is aligned with overall business strategy
- Assist with the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Support the development and maintenance of financial models and systems
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and special initiatives as required
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and a professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Qualified accountant with 2+ years' experience in a similar management accounting role preferably within a manufacturing or mining environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data
- Proficient in the use of financial software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Who we are
We're Grange Resources, Australia's oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise. Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.
Savage River
The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline to Grange's pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.
The Savage River worksite is only an hour and half drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour’s flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
