Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Light Vehicle Technician to join our operation in Savage River.
An exciting opportunity is available for a Light Vehicle Technician to join our Light Vehicle Maintenance team at Savage River.
Reporting to the Light Vehicle Leading Hand, the successful candidate will be responsible to ensure mining plant equipment services and preventative maintenance are performed on plant at the Savage River.
Day to day
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Performing servicing, repair and maintenance on our fleet of light vehicles and ancillary equipment
- Coordinate with leading hand and other trades in fault and failure diagnosis as required
- Liaise with and assist other maintenance staff to ensure all prescribed duties are performed safely and effectively
- Assisting in continuous improvement and process development projects
Who you are
To be successful in this role you have:
- A mechanical trade qualification
- A current driver's licence
- A sound level of diagnostic experience and skills in maintaining light vehicles
- The capability and willingness to work safely with minimal supervision
- Air conditioning qualification or experience
- Forklift licence or the ability to acquire
- Medium Rigid Licence
- Intermediate computer skills

Savage River
The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline to Grange's pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.
The Savage River worksite is only an hour and half drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour’s flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
